Electric Rice Cooker
- Place 1 cup of rice into an electric rice cooker.
- Rinse 2–3 times with cold water.
- Add 1.25 cups of water per cup of rice.
- Turn on the electric rice cooker and cook. Once done, let the rice stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Absorption Method
- Place 1 cup of rice into a pot.
- Rinse 2–3 times with cold water.
- Add 1½–2 cups of water per cup of rice and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12–15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let stand, covered, for 10 minutes.
Microwave
- Follow the same steps and water-to-rice ratio as the absorption method. As microwave settings vary, refer to your microwave manual for specific instructions.
Storage Instructions
- Avoid exposing rice to high humidity or excessive heat.
- Store rice in a cool, dry place at a temperature below 20°C.
- Allow leftover cooked rice to cool before storing. Refrigerate it for no more than 2 days.

- 2 cups uncooked rice = Serves 4
1 cup of uncooked rice equals approximately 3 cups of cooked rice.
